The Happy Place Fest, was a music/cannabis festival held on New Year’s weekend at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds. The festival had a line up with some of the best in hip hop; 21 Savage, Post Malone, Young Dolph, and Rob Stone to name a few. The headliner was Rae Sremmurd and they did not disappoint.

Rae Sremmurd came onto the scene in 2015 with Sremmlife, which featured top songs like, “No Flex Zone,” “Come Get Her,” and “No Type.” This group consists of two brothers  23 and 24 years old. Their recent album Sremmlife2 was met with positive reviews, with “Black Beatles,” currently at number one on US Billboard Top 100. The media has been portraying them as two young, fun, partying rappers and that’s a fair assessment. However, once you witness a performance you will see they are a whole lot more. The word impressive doesn’t do this group justice. They were AMAZING! They performed from the minute they got onto the stage until the minute they sang their last song. They cared about getting the audience hyped up. They took pride in their music and left it all out there. The group was generous, throwing pre rolled blunts out to the crowd as well as handing out bottles of Ace of Spades, the creme de la creme, of champagne. They made sure to get the crowd participating the whole time including having us do the Mannequin Challenge. They are taking their performances, careers, and music very seriously. These two young men came to play… don’t let the age fool you!
